I was doing some research on an old Dreyse 1907 .32 cal. handgun and came up with some interesting information. This ugly spud was adopted by the Swiss Guards of the Vatican in the early 1900's and continued as the standard side arm until 1990 (sometime after the assassination attempt of John Paul II in 1981), when they adopted the Sig 226.
