a cool, fancy title
Don't count on UPS ever paying out on a claim. My company files UPS claims all the time for stuff they destroy or lose. Usually, we'll get a form letter response many months later saying something along the lines of "after our investigation we determined that the damage was a result of poor packaging" or "our records indicate it was delivered".
Their drivers will forge the "signed-by" name too. We have many instances where the signed by name attached to the tracking is someone that wasn't even at work the day of delivery. They get to know the names of their regular stops and simply put a name down regardless of who actually signs for stuff (or even if no one signs).
Hell, just had one yesterday that says "delivered to front desk"... except the delivery address is an active construction site... literally no desk to be found anywhere.
They won't pay for shit.
