    Default Scheels Customer for Life

I bought a labradar 9/3/2023, if you haven't been living under a rock you know that was about a month before the Garmin Xero C1 dropped.I had decided it was just bad luck and horrible timing and I was stuck. I took the Labradar to the range 3 times and every trip was more frustrating than the last. Missed shots while working on load development, never picked up a single suppressed rimfire shot, etc. I tried everything in the manual to troubleshoot with some success but never once picked up rimfire. Sure, labradar would be happy to sell me an external trigger to pick up shots, but screw that, with the external battery, and that, its just a cluster of junk to mess with. I almost posted it in the for sale section at an extremely cheap price just to be rid of the thing. I decided to try retuning it to Scheels, thought it was likely a longshot but figured I try, 5 minutes later product was retuned for a full refund and zero questions asked. I already order a Garmin Xero C1 from Scheels.

Just thought I'd share my personal experience

Yea I was pretty disappointed with my labradar and rimfire. I could never get it to work for rimfire even with external inertial and mic inputs. Sold it to an F Class guy for about half what I had into it. He and I are both happy now. Plan on getting a garmin sometime this year as every review I have read so far has been positive.

Yep, I have high hopes after the reviews I've seen. Rimfire is what I shoot the most so the Labradar was extremely disappointing.

Always good to hear stories like this. Anymore I choose company over product for most things. And the Garmin is pretty stinking cool. Chronographs should have always have been this easy...

Nice to hear...especially in this day and age where customer service seems to be a thing of the past.

That’s a good report. I like Scheels just because it’s a fun place to blow an hour with the whole family. Glad to hear their CS is good, too.

You’re gonna love your Garmin. Used mine last night at a crowded indoor range. It picked up every one of my shots and none of anyone else’s.

    Default Firmware Upate Is Available

Did you update the firmware? I updated my cell phone last week and it started eating the battery and would not charge. I found out that a manual reset was necesary to correct the problem.

I love SCHEELs (Way better than Cabelas/BASS PRO) and their customer service is top. The one in Johnstown has so many cool rifles in their "Modern Sporting Rifle Section" They even have a nice assortment of Whisper pickles on display.

Every time go in there, I leave my SCHEELs CC at home then I end up regretting while there but saves me a balance. Though my Wife loves going there to look at shoes............................ (She has returned shoes many times as they didnt hit her fancy)

My lab radar does OK on rimfire.

It doesn’t seem to like muzzle brakes that are angled backwards any.

Mine will probably go up for sale soon. Want the garmin. Will take a haircut on it, but what items generally don’t depreciate? Look at used guns and what people post them for unless I can get 30-40% off what I can buy new, I will just buy new. Well there are some cool guns that have to be bought used because out of production but that is a different story.

Labradar now has a competitor to the Garmin, they just released it at SHOT Show.

Caldwell also introduced a chrono at Shot show.
