Default Announcement: I love my wife!!

So, I was at home today for lunch and noticed my .308 was moved around a little and the wife was acting a little sheepish (so was the dog come to think of it...) Anyways, I asked her if everything was ok and she started squealing. (We can't keep anything from each other no matter how hard it is... grrr). She informed me in high pitch screamings that today she shipped off my bolt to have some work done to it by Kampfeld Custom for my birthday!!! I love my wife!! She asked a long time ago about different "mods" that I would mention here and there. So my bolt is getting a large knob put on, spiral flutes, and painted all black to match the stock! I'm so excited. Apparentely she called my dad to ask what to do and dad never mentioned a word to me! lol.

Congrats! My wife has always come through on planning awesome dates for us like paint balling and going to a live MMA fight. I almost always screw up and don't do anything or get her something lame. I wish I had her capacity of knowing just what to do to make other people happy.

There is no greater blessing than a good wife, no greater curse than a bad one. Mine is pretty good.

I can relate gentlemen. The wife got me a DPMS AP4 LR308 for christmas. She is the most kind and giving person I know. She has changed me for the better. Sounds like you guys got some keepers too.

That's, what? Twice in less than 2 weeks that she has really come through for you?! She is definitely a keeper.

Now don't get me wrong, I've got a really good wife too but it certainly looks like you found the perfect woman as your bride.

    CHOCOLATE RASPBERRY TRUFFLE CHEESECAKE
    1 1/2 c. (about 18) finely crushed creme-filled chocolate cookies
4 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    3 eggs
    1 c. sour cream
    1 tsp. vanilla
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces, melted
    1/3 c. seedless raspberry preserves
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
    1/4 c. whipping cream

Combine cookie crumbs and butter and press onto bottom of 9 inch springform pan. Combine 3 of the 8 ounce packages of cream cheese with the sugar, mixing at medium speed on electric mixer until well blended. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each. Blend in sour cream and vanilla; pour over crust. Combine remaining cream cheese and melted chocolate, mixing at medium speed on electric mixer until well blended. Add preserves; mix well. Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of chocolate cream cheese batter over plain cream cheese batter; do not swirl. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Loosen cake from rim of pan; cool before removing rim of pan. Melt remaining chocolate pieces and whipping cream over low heat, stirring until smooth. Spread over cheesecake. Chill. Garnish with additional whipping cream, whipped, raspberries and mint leaves, if desired. Serves 10-12.

I don't follow everything exactly as mentioned (I'm a male) but it's a really good recipe. Also, I usually leave mine in the fridge over night or at least 4 or 5 hours to really get it set and cool. If you need to borrow a cheesecake pan (Don't know the real word for it) let me know. It's a flat bottom pan and the sides unbuckle from it.... specifically made for cheesecake and the likes. Let me know how it goes, good luck!
