    Default Would you buy it?

I've got the chance to buy a Smith and Wesson Model 52 (.38 Wadcutter) for around $900.

Is this a good deal? The gun looks to be in about 95% and comes with original box, but no paperwork or tool, and 2 magazines.

I've always wanted a target pistol like this, and being that it's an oddity makes it even more attractive. I currently reload .38 and I've done quite a few .38 wadcutters for target shooting, so ammo is a non factor...just the cash is!!!

personally, no. but I'm not in the market for one.

I looked around and all the ones I found one for about $1000, but the other was running $1500.

so it might be a good deal.

I'm sure others here will know a hell of a lot more about it than me.

    eh...

I've got 2 ruger blackhawks that I rarely shoot...one is a convertible and the other is just .38/.357 both with the 6 1/2 in barrels.

I don't think I'd miss it if I sold the regular one!

Do yourself a favor. Get the S&W. Screw the Socom II. Get Scout Squad.

Socom II has mall ninja written all over it. It's front heavy, and the rails can tear up your hands with extended shooting. The 16" barrel reduces your velocity even more, is louder, and has a greater muzzle flash.

If your set on the 16" I'd go with the Socom 16. It's balanced much better.

The socom II is overpriced anyways...

I've been looking at the whole line, and call me a sucker mall ninja, but that urban camo stock is sweet. I'm up in the mountains so I think that stock would make it a great winter coyote gun, as well as a fun plinker!

I love the Scout Squad, think they are awesome. I agree that the SOCOM II gives up too much and is too barrel heavy
