Americans tend to have a very short memory.

Right now the border invasion is one of the top 3 concerns of the average citizen (cost of groceries/fuel/essentials and cost of housing are up there with the border problem).

If the Biden administration were to correct one or two of these major issues before the end of the summer, the bulk of the average citizens would have forgotten the past 3 years by the time the election comes up.

Throw in another diversion (Look, squirrel!) for people to fixate on and he might actually have a chance to get re-elected.

LOL, no Joe, you have all the power you need to close the border, it's just that you have, up to this point, not cared what's been going on at the border. BUT polling is telling you that you need to do something, but instead of doing something, you blame Congress.
