Rain gutter design, building, and installation

Hi Guys (and Gals),

Does anyone have a hookup for rain gutters? Our house has the original 4 inch K style gutters, which are poorly designed and utterly insufficient, as well as having been wiped off the side of the house a number of times by snow sliding off the metal roof. I have some ideas about how I want to redesign them for greater efficiency, as well as runoff collection for garden irrigation. I'd like to contact someone that has experience with the drainage issues associated with standing seam metal roofs.

No experience, but a neighbor just had Brothers That Just Do Gutters working on their house last week.
