Info / suggestions needed

Have our former electrician who relocated to CO taking some exams in the 700 block of w. hampden (hampden and s. sante fe) in englehood.
Any suggestions for a hotel / motel in a decent area? He has some $$ pricey tools etc locked in his truck.

He's stuck there for 2 weeks, so he also has to consider $$ / budget

Rent an enclosed storage for the car and get a rental. 1mo of storage nd a rental is cheap vs loosing your tools. Then he can get a safe but sketch hotel and it should even out?

Boulder maybe? Lol, I don’t see any area in Denver proper that would be safe to leave a loaded truck out over night.

Nowhere near there. Try tech center hotels that are away from main roads.

Englewood has a high crime rate and any motels there are trashy and drug infested. FunkyMonkey is correct and the closest hotels to have any safety or security are in the Tech Center near I25 and Orchard. That area has a totally different population but it's not inexpensive. There is no place that is totally safe in the Denver metro area and auto theft is out of control. Does he need to have his tools in his truck while he is here or could he store them someplace?

Agreed. I live in that neighborhood for years. It pretty safe, but had house and garage too. I think it is not worth the risk. Loose your tools and you can't work to make money to buy new tools...

Several hotels at wadsworth and 285, generally safe but theft will happen anywhere.

I stayed in Idaho Springs once. Less likely to be robbed in a small town like that.
It was the Argo hotel. Other options are small towns around the metro area.
