Even 20 years ago, I refused to donate to them because I saw that the purpose of the organization was fashioned in a way that actually solving problems would hamper their own funding, while drama (and especially losing) helped their funding tremendously.

There were no allegations of corruption at the time. It's just the circumstances were prime for it.

The loss of Lapierre isn't going to change the foundational problem. NRA is fine with certain things, but solving issues in the courts is not one of them.

I think it's just better if gun owners transition into better organizations for the legal challenges, tbh.
