What if you get hit in the arm or hand and it's rendered disabled, can you still pull your firearm, cycle the slide, and fire it with one hand and a major adrenaline surge? If your answer is Yes without a doubt, I'd like you to watch this video (that and I'll tell you flat out that you're full of shit and seriously need to think it through). After several failed attempts to chamber a round it's clear that it's an entirely new ball game when you think you're goin to die.
