This was my drive from CO Springs back to Boulder on Thursday during the middle of the biggest storm of the year..
Due for another 7 inches and 50mph winds tonight.
I am ready for summer.
A half hour ago, we took chairs outside to enjoy a glass of wine in the late afternoon sun. Almost immediately, the sun disappeared, the wind picked up and it began to snow. Now it's snowing heavily. A day late but probably not a dollar short. If the NOAA prediction is right, we could get 9-16" here by Monday afternoon.
Now have a good five inches 90 minutes in to the storm.
thankfully not too much snow with this storm. With the wind that came with it, whew, couldn't been some big drifts. Slowest commute I've ever had. An indication of more Calif. newbies that have never driven on packed snow and ice.
Laws aren't "preventable" measures. IOW, more gun laws won't stop mass shootings.
Only 2 or 3 inches near Cherry Creek. The streets were very icy but the clouds are breaking and it's already melting.
