    Default Range membership quandary

So, due to a job and life and other hobbies I just don?t make it out to the range very often these days.

Back when my range membership was under $200 a year it didn?t bother me to renew it even if I only made it out two or three times a year.

Now it seems my membership is $320 a year and I?m finding it hard to justify paying that amount for the two or three times I might use the facility.

Should I just drop my membership and think about joining years down the road when life puts me in a better place to enjoy my hobbies or do I just keep renewing year after year knowing some day I?ll get more use out of my membership?

    Thanks.

Hmmm...my range membership is 175/yr...sounds like you need a new range?

I just go to remote BLM land. My range is a box with a target taped to it. I usually take a sandwich with me and enjoy the solitude after the noise session. The price is getting there.

I will have to admit that $150 of my dues are for not completing my work bond at the club. I barely have time to shoot much less do work at the range.

Exactly same situation for me. Primary concern was wait list. When asked Mrs bo opinion she told me not to be a dumbazz, pay dues and go more often.

I think she is just worried I will expand the berm in the back yard.

Well once you expand the backyard berm I would probably pay you $200 a year for access to your facilities. If Mrs. Bo makes sandwiches or the minions shag brass for me obviously that price is negotiable.

Similar boat here. BRC was an 11 year wait. Don?t go too often but when I do it?s nice. But the board just raised the work bond to $300 for the year. I think they did it because not enough people show up. But honestly they make it so inconvenient that it?s silly. NCRGC had a sweet setup show up at eight be done at noon and shoot your guns. BRC is an 8 hour day and after 4 hours it?s just busy work.
