First Responder with Disability License Plate HB 24-1112
We need your (everyones) help getting our bill for first responders injured in the line of duty, passed.
We testified and got it to pass the finance committee, and it should?ve kept going from there.
However, Colorado is now making huge budget cuts and the appropriations committee is putting our bill on hold. Our bill is a minimal cost to Colorado at approximately $11,000: small price to pay for the huge sacrifices made!
House Bill 24-1112 The bill creates a special license plate to honor first responders who have a permanent occupational disability (first responder). A first responder may obtain a special license plate without paying taxes or fees for the plate or the vehicle)
This is already in place for disabled vets.
We need you to call, email and lobby the appropriations committee urging them to pass this bill! Here is a link to everyone on the appropriations committee we need you to reach out to

Here?s who you can email first : these are the chairs of the committee
