I'd rather spend $1 today than $100 + American life in a decade.

Someone needs to put Iran in its place. It will forever destabilize the world. If isreal happens to want to do that, more power to them, send them some boom and save all US lives in the process. Win/win.

Even back in the early 2000s, I thought we should have gone after Iran, not Iraq, from the very inset.

If we just ignore it indefinitely, it will impact a TON of US lives at some point in the future. We already have "illegally immigrated" Iranian agents in the US under guise of being Venezuelan.

Sorry, but Thomas Friedman lost any kind of credibility with me decades ago. He writes well, it's just that what he writes isn't worth lining the bird cage with. If we hadn't listened to morons like him on foreign policy during the Clinton years, we wouldn't be contending with the fat loon in North Korea or the Islamic Revolutionary nutjobs in Iran today.

Clinton's North Korea pact and Obama's Iran agreement are what led to both regimes extorting the free world today. Obama went beyond molly-coddling Putin which is what led him to invade Ukraine in 2014 and again last year. The way to stop bullies is to suck up the pain in your knuckles when you smack them immediately. You don't just let cancer spread, you hit it hard or cut it out.

All the Leftists who mocked Reagan's vision for missile defense as "Star Wars" should thank him for Israel even having options today other than pounding the crap out of Iran's military installations and governmental buildings. There would be no stopping them -- or reason to -- if a fraction of those 300 missiles and drones had hit and killed people.
