I'm a Freeman of the city of York, which is an honour passed down from father to son since the 14th century. It means I can graze my sheep on the common land in the city, and I could have been married here:

I've also written a book that was actually published, and I have sold more paintings in my life than van Gogh did in his.

I saved a guy's life once. His crazy pregnant wife had lost it, jumped on his back, and was strangling him. He didn't fight back under the "if your wife tells the MPs you hit her, you are guilty no questions asked" rule and had turned purple and fallen down before I pried her arms away from him. There's a point beyond which you can't keep saying to yourself "I soooo do not want to be here or be involved in this situation!" I moved back into the barracks the next day.

The M901 Improved TOW Vehicle that was on display (as of a few years back, dunno if it's still there) in front of 3rd Bde chow hall at Ft. Carson used to be mine, though my old roomate had it last before they museum-pieced it.

You can't find me in Google searches because the other guy with my name is (err...was) reasonably well known, and then a famous putz, so I can't have any claims to actual fame.

    Hmmm lets see....

My mom's side of the family is English Royalty from the Montague line (of course this is of absolutely no benefit state-side. haha)...

When I was born I was given a gift by the princess of Russia who was a close friend of my.... Grandmother.

My grandmother was also a complete hippie, did LSD with Timothy Leary, and at one time had Che Guevera, among other controversial political figures, staying at her house.

My Grandfather was won of the founders of the original surfing movement in california, and maintains a friendship with Greg Knoll today.

I won the Nevada State speech meet when I was in 5th grade for memorizing the Declaration of Independence, and took 2nd the previous year for memorizing the Gettysburg Address.

My dad's side of the family is directly related to Eric the Red, a viking who is thought to be the first non-native to set foot in the Americas.

    and aside from that,

I have a wonderful fiance, a good job, and I strive to make everyday better than the last.

    Claim to fame?....

Played with The Temptations, Ingrid Jensen, Harry Connick Jr., Marvin Stamm, and a bunch of other folks. But who ever looks for the trumpet player?! lol. "Chics dig high notes, dude!"

Won a .22lr national shooting competition waaaaay back in middle school.

Won state competitions in high school for music related stuff so I was in the newspaper quite a bit.

Broke every bone in my body in a car wreck junior year of high school. That was in the paper too. (And I still graduated on time!)

And biggest claim to fame is my last name! Direct relation... Well, if you were in TX you'd understand. HAHA.

Other than those... I'm just a regular joe who trys to stay out of the spot light.

I had the privilege to play the drums for Shania Twain for a song at the Pepsi center back in 2003.

I study with Allison Krauss's and Maynard Ferguson's (former, he died) drummer.

I shot competitive sporting clays in high school, getting as high as second at the state meet.

Recordings I've made have been broadcast world wide on radio, and locally on stations like 106.7.

    forgot

Our daughter was a main speraker at the First Second Amendment Sisters Rally that was on the same day as the Million Mom March
She was interviewed by all 3 tv (at the time) news, as well as the RMN. oddly with all the hoopla surrounding "reasonable" gun laws. She had more airtime than the MMM's did
