WATCH: Texas DPS Shows Up at a Pro-Hamas 'Encampment,' and Beautiful Chaos Follows

Some states aren't like other states. The pro-Hamas fanatics attempting to illegally "occupy" college campuses learned that the hard way on Wednesday.
As RedState has reported, numerous encampments sprung up in the preceding week, including an especially contentious one at Columbia University in New York City. Chants of "Hamas, we love you" and "Globalize the Intifada" have become commonplace. University officials have mostly responded with attempts at appeasement.
Extremists part of the @Columbia CHAZ-style occupation chant support for Hamas terror:

?Al-Qassam, you make us proud, take another soldier out?

?We say justice, you say how? Burn Tel Aviv to the ground?

?Hamas, we love you. We support your rockets too?pic.twitter.com/YtNwzqYvNd

Texas isn't New York, though, and when DPS officers in riot gear showed up at the University of Texas, beautiful chaos followed.

Hundreds of students have occupied the University of Texas- Austin and have been ordered to disperse.

Intimidation tactics by pro-Hamas supporters may work at Ivy League schools because their blue-haired faculties are too scared to react (or are outright supportive), but they don't play these games further south. There's a reason you haven't seen any of this insanity in Florida either, and when it was attempted, the consequences were severe.

Protest is not illegal. Illegally "occupying" areas despite dispersal orders, setting up encampments, and preventing others from passing is. There will be a lot of crying about what Texas did here, but they owe it to their residents to keep everyone safe and not allow privileged, entitled brats to dictate the terms in violation of the law.
Austin is not Gaza. There is no justification for this nonsense, and the phrase "try that in a red state" is starting to have some real meaning. Watch how quickly these protests stop happening in Republican-led jurisdictions because consequences have been so swiftly doled out. Meanwhile, you can expect the lawlessness to continue in Democrat-led states. Once you give the pro-Hamas contingent an inch, they will take a mile, and they aren't going to back down in the face of polite negotiations at places like NYU, Columbia, and Yale.

    "It depends" and "It's complicated."

Studies have been done, repeatedly, and yes, about 70% of younger NG members would indeed comply with what they believed to be a lawful order without question.

However, many older NG members have seen multiple deployments and understand "posse comitatus" and "things never used to be like this" and place the Constitution above what they might perceive to be an unlawful order. This could result in anything from, "Please put that order in writing," to malicious compliance, sabotage, fragging, or even outright mutiny.

That's a big reason why so many older NG (as well as LE) are being ordered to attend mandatory (and frequent) "sensitivity" (indoctrination) training and are being offered early retirement, to reduce the level of possible noncompliance to questionable orders.

Fun Fact: Many "militia" members and motorcycle club members are also former Combat Arms with training and experience, not to mention the vast number of mostly rural former military who "just want to be left alone." Politics doesn't even enter into that equation... tear up the Blue cities all you want, but try that shit in Appalachia or rural Montana and there are people there who can take out an Apache helicopter or an Abrams tank.

All fair points but lets look at this incident on it's own.

They were allowed to protest, without any impedance. Then asked to leave. The didn't leave, they were ordered to leave. They didn't leave, and instead stated they were taking over this area and had already started to cause damage. They were removed with the lightest force possible unless they struck the officers.

Pretty decent of them in my opinion.

Yeah we saw a lot of the older timers not following orders during Covid. He said sarcastically. Every single one would follow the order to the T if it meant them still getting a pay check. Again, we saw this In Covid. That’s why places like Colorado and NM still have so called unconstitutional guns laws. Everyone will enforce them. I wouldn’t rely on the constitution to save you from unlawful orders.

If you want to read something that makes your argument read the book "Ordinary Men: Reserve Police Battalion 101 and the Final Solution in Poland" by Christopher R Browning. I had to break it up into pieces because it was so disturbing. It happens with relative ease.

I agree, that book is very revealing. The title ?Ordinary Men? and the story behind it should be required reading in ANY school. It?s probably unheard of in most progressive institutions of higher learning and on the blacklist of any Liberal teacher. Nothing like ignoring the past!

Martial law is probably pending for the nation. At least have a gas mask, food, and anything else the National Guard has. By watching various open source information sites and local area actions, I can interpret the national security situation. Hamas protestors are the least of our worries.

Let’s add the push for the “Climate Emergency Powers Act” they are giddy for.
