At this point, I'm not convinced there are any "innocent" people in Gaza. They have been fostering the anti-Israeli hate for decades, spouting "From the River to the Sea" gibberish and supporting the PA, PLO, etc. from the start.

Israel is retaliating right now for an unprovoked heinous attack on civilians. They are taking great pains to try to minimize collateral damage -- they have done this imperfectly but so has anyone who has ever engaged in military action.

The college kids protesting for the self-styled Palestinians (nearly all of whose ancestors were located in Egypt, Lebanon, or the other side of the Jordan River when the Romans referred to that area as Palestine) or against Israel are the same useful idiots the Soviets employed to protest for a nuclear freeze or anything else that stymied American foreign policy or national security during the 60s, 70s, 80s (as a group, not individuals since the specific students hadn't even been conceived then). If the college administrators and faculty weren't in bed with the very same treasonous Leftist groups, these students would all face expulsion (with some settling for retention in the student body albeit under some form of probation).

Civilians should never be intentionally targeted. Like what happened on 10/7, and before, and what is going on now. Most in the U.S. suffer from getting the information to form their views through obviously biased lenses, along with filtering that information through closely held strong opinions that we have formed since our earliest years. Then when anything challenges that perspective we cannot see or hear what is right in front of us. If Americans were able to live the experience of what Gazans do every day for a year or three they may have a different view of things, same for people like me if I had to trade places with the Israelis on the border that survived 10/7.

Butterfly effect and all, with 2-3 million Americans missing none of us would've been conceived. Some other Joe may have, if your parents were fortunate to have existed. So, you're protected by an ocean of logistics to the east and west, allies to the north, and a friendly country to the south, zero chance of any nation-state threat, and your very existence is, in all probability, dependent on the death of hundreds of thousands of "innocents", which continues even today (drone strikes anyone?). You experience zero threat to your life or have any experience living with REAL enemies at your gate and in your society. You don't have any ACTUAL understanding of a society 6,000 miles away that lives with people 6 miles away that have sworn to wipe them out of existence, and an entire nation around 700 miles away that wants to turn them into glass.

What you do have is the same outrage and presumed superiority expressed by a typical suburban "Karen", coupled with a hatred towards a group of people and occasional conspiratory beliefs.

America has killed far, far, far, far more women and children than Israel. And you're here because of it. If you think they are morally bankrupt because some of them hate a group of people, you're morally bankrupt on that point.

The presumed required invasion of Japan was not a necessary end of the war, it was an option, but not a necessity.
I do not have a hatred towards any group of people.

Hating a group for the actions of a percentage of that group is wrong.
And so is running interference and flying cover for that group within a group when there are legitimate wrongdoings occurring at their hands.
Switzerland has never invaded anyone, they are surrounded by no greater topographical or geographical security than we are.
I follow Washingtons view that is best to stay neutral and out of international conflicts as a policy.

I would prefer bankrolling American domestic security over funding the Taliban, paying for White Phosphorus on Women and Children, and continuing a war between two Orthodox Christian Countries.

Yeah we saw a lot of the older timers not following orders during Covid. He said sarcastically. Every single one would follow the order to the T if it meant them still getting a pay check. Again, we saw this In Covid. That?s why places like Colorado and NM still have so called unconstitutional guns laws. Everyone will enforce them. I wouldn?t rely on the constitution to save you from unlawful orders.

If you want to read something that makes your argument read the book "Ordinary Men: Reserve Police Battalion 101 and the Final Solution in Poland" by Christopher R Browning. I had to break it up into pieces because it was so disturbing. It happens with relative ease.
