Default Does Meow Wolf still have metal detectors?

Has anyone been there since the mass layoff? I'm hoping that the detector operators got the ax prior to my visit there tomorrow.

Yes. As of a month ago. No bags. Screening, metal detectors.

I think the huge layoff was about 3 weeks ago. At least, that's when the news reported it.

A place like that? Yeah, that's a gun free zone for sure. Don't count on their detector operators being laid off.. its for the children.

Evidently it's a "go once and be done with it" type of thing... I've never gone, but that's what it seems like from those i've spoken to who went.

Yup- Definitely a "go once". We have no desire to return, and that seems to be a poor business model.

My kid took his girlfriend there and that was his view of it.

Went to the original, in Albuquerque. It seemed to be a tourist attraction.
