Private Camping Access?

I'm aiming to take my family up to the Meadow Creek Reservoir near Tabernash on Saturday for a quick overnight camping trip (over my birthday weekend) but while thinking strategically about where we should go for fishing, views, and for where my wife would be willing to drive offroad, I started wondering if there were any special places among our members here that one might be willing to share with other members? If not Privately owned land, is there any place with public access you've fallen in love with over the years for a simple family getaway?

Cache Creek near Granite,CO. Maybe the Interlaken fire will be out by then. Twin Lakes and Arkansas River for fishing. Call Royal Gorge BLM for info.

You want dispersed camping on private land if at all possible.

Between the constant fire bans and truckloads of crazies showing up after dark to raise hell, I gave up on camping years ago. Had an incident all 5 times, twice dispersed, three times at very remote mountain campsites that required advance payment for reservations.

I camp to get away from people, not have them drive their ATVs through my campsite at 0200 whilst screaming. That was fun and they nearly had a very bad day.

Correct. I don't go to camp grounds with other people and reservations... forget it. That ain't camping. I'm a backpacker at heart who has a family so we have to compromise with car camping. I usually go places where I hunt and do scouting hikes with the family if they're along with me, otherwise it's solo or with my brother in law.
