Thank you for that, it definitely helps.
I shot my first 50 at Cheyenne Wells:
It split my eyebrow in two and there I am, bleeding like a stuck pig with an idiotic grin on my face.
My wife looks at me and goes :
"Oh damn, now we're going to have to buy you one..."
    The rest is history.

    .

Sensory overload, the chance to shoot some rare stuff and those night shoots were crazy.
Great bunch of guys and good safety rules.

    Those shoots were awesome!

I still have a few shirts and a mess of tracer that will probably never get shot. People dont under stand how cool these shoots were. My friend and I would share a spot. We'd bring back a 55 gallon drum of cases. Ammo used to be so affordable.

Speaking of rare stuff, last shoot I went to I was just walking around looking and watching, only had a little to spend - when one table stopped me dead in my tracks. There was a German Stg44 and an M2 Carbine, I just HAD to shoot those two! SO worth it.

    That is a fun video!
I recognized Greg Satre of Denver Bullets at the beginning.
A really good guy who I miss now.
Funny watching tracers as they are normally the 5th round in the belt, so each one you see flying has 4 others rounds you don't see.
Tracers burn out between 2000 and 2500 meters, so those rounds are really flying a long distance!
That shoot had a heck of a long impact area.

That kid in the orange sweatshirt at the beginning is my grandson. He's 27 now, been in the Navy for 4 years, is now married with 2 stepsons and a wonderful wife, and they recently bought a house in Norman, OK. So that's how old that video is. And they said the impact area was clear all the way to Kansas, I hear there's oil wells there now. Probably some of those damned big windmills too.

Super Video!! I remember hearing eerie howling ricochet rounds overhead once in a while. I never heard of any problems at those shoots, beside a small brush fire. The bowling ball cannons taking shots at the RC aircraft was entertaining, it all was!
I think you get a 3-day buzz after those shoots, I did!
