I think the damage has been done with the electorate. People tend to remember and emphasize bad things over good. So he would need a huge turnaround in order to win back voters.

Given his age, that is not going to happen.

He is always been a stubborn, self-centered person willing to say quite literally anything in order to gain and retain power. It simply is not in his personality to walk away from the most powerful job in the world, one that he has been working towards for 40+ years.

He will run. He will lose. Kamala will go away. The Democrats will field a new team of younger, more palatable candidates in 2028, likely to include Jared Polis.


You may be right, but I think they'll convince him to drop out or else resign the presidency. All they'd have left is for Joe to drop out a second story window.
