Arvada is not what it used to be. We have a lot of newcomers and transplants that have moved here from Denver. People that wanted to move out of Denver because it was to expensive and bad crime. We have a trany congressman/woman. Old town is like a gay pride parade on the weekends. It's kind of ironic that they want to remove the culture and history of the town much like they accuse the settlers did to the natives. Not enough people involved in local politics to stop this kind of stuff.

Load of crap for sure. I asked an Arapahoe H.S. (Warriors) teacher about school mascot a few years ago. He said they actually have the blessings or recognition from a local Tribe Elder a while back (?) to use the name as the tribe did not consider it demeaning or offensive.

They took down an exhibit of Indian history at one of our museums here a few years ago. The weird thing is, that the plaintiffs in these cases are probably not even indigenous!

Rebels, Chiefs, Redskins, Braves and more are not offensive names, they are history.
