I never thought Joe was going to stay in until Election Day. In fact, I am surprised he stayed in this long as it would have been easy to plead exhaustion at his age.
Unfounded hypotheses:
- Joe was holding out to stay in because he wanted to make sure the nominee will be someone who WON'T follow up on the decades of Clinton/Biden corruption. The last thing he (or his family) needs is someone like RFK Jr who would take integrity of the office seriously. This course was likely supported by Obama since there has to be evidence in the archives that Obama KNEW HRC was using a private email account and destroying evidence in direct violation of the National Archives Act.
- The Democrats have looked at the polls and believe 2024 is a lost election at the presidential level no matter what they do. The party needs to contain the damage to those offices and prevent splash down ballot.
- The Democrats need to hold Congressional and Senate offices to try to forestall honest looks at the Jan 6 prosecutions, misuse of the intelligence and law enforcement communities, protection of the Bidens/Obamas/Clintons from legal ramifications, etc.
- Newsom wanted more time to prepare and build funds before running.
- With the top office an almost definite goner, what better to do with the election than put in someone the Dems don't want running again in any future election? This would be similar to the Republicans nominating John McCain in 2008 -- there was no way any Republican was going to win in 2008 so letting McCain run and lose terminated his prospects in any future election.
Question: Has anyone actually met anyone from Q-Anon? I see them "quoted" endlessly but never see any direct identification of someone in the group. If I were a Democrat, I'd have created something like Q-Anon precisely so I could make up outrageous crap and get my opposition to repeat it.

No. QAnon isn't a group like Proud Boys.
It was a started on a conspiracy message board (kinda like this one is starting to become) with ANONymous posting all sorts of crazy bullshit, starting with one guy called Q.
One reader took it too far and shot up a pizza parlor that was the supposed base of the Clinton satanic, child sex trafficking ring.
Of course the media went bananas over it since they see a "far right" bogeyman hiding in every corner.
Much like the Proud Boys, it started as a goof and took on a life of it's own.
I don't think they have meetings at the local Pizza Hut, but I have never been invited...
Joe_K could likely shine light on it- he is the conspiracy theory guy.
I don't know who "Q Anon" is, but if you really want to takeover the USA, gain control of the Federal Reserve.
"GIVE me control of a nation?s money supply, and I care not who makes its laws." So said Mayer Amschel Rothschild.

Pretty sure that the real background of Q-Anon is the SVR.
It's been affirmatively debunked and even debunked itself with it's failed predictions, but the historical origination follows like on of their ops, and it's successfully targeting it's prime profile.
People may discount it because it's info is not all "Stalin was great, right?" but that's precisely how the ops work. They mix in legitimate info with conspiratory information and gradually trend to influence in subtle ways, not directly related or necessarily obviously in their own interest. E.g., they aren't trying to Promote Russia #1, they are trying to promulgate mistrust in the U.S. Gov't as well as foment more division.
It's terribly easy for U.S. Citizens to become Russian minions. Their historical campaigns in decades past are impressive. While their military sucks balls, their ops are world-class, and especially effective against a class of American idiots, and the modern internet has made things possible on a brand new level.
Coming up next, a new generation of technology (AI) may give their campaigns the killing blow they've always wanted.
Enough of our elected officials are doing a fine job of this themselves.they are trying to promulgate mistrust in the U.S. Gov't
Whether guilty or innocent of the crimes many are accused of, while in the military I was taught that "the appearance of wrong-doing is the same as wrong-doing".
Our elected officials (and un-elected bureaucrats) need to get their collective shit together and clean house. I've not seen such a period in my life where so many appear to be corrupt as is the case today.

Qanon/Pizzagate was one of the most extensive and expensive PSYOPs the world has ever seen... I was actually impressed by how much work went into that. I personally spoke with the hacker who cracked the Podesta emails, and the contents of that release was very real, and progress was being made making connections to overseas child trafficking... "Pizzagate" was immediately created to create far more "noise to signal" and totally discredit any further research in that area.
Proud Boys was created by the degenerate Gavin McInnes who used to livestream himself engaged in a variety of solo sexual activities for shock value, one of which involved him inserting a rather large black buttplug into his anus to "disprove" that he was homophobic. Not trolling or joking, that video (and others) are Google searchable.
