    Default Don't forget "The Legion"

I never been to France. I have seen it from across the Channel. This guy is way more interesting than Paris.

That sequence with the headless Marie Antoinette singers was kind of bold!

I did a WW-2 tour of Europe about 15 year’s ago. Paris was amazing. We visited some WW-1 sites as well, Verdun and many graveyards like the Douaumont Ossuary. There were no French cowards in that War.

They said the water in the Seine river has high levels of E-coli and they may have.to postpone or relocate some water events that are programmed for the river, despite the fact they been cleaning/treating it for a long time. Many citizens opposed any extra taxation to cover the massive cost of the project. They had a protest a month ago and the theme was to use the river as a toilet. Not sure how that turned out.

Last tidbit. The Paris Olympics Logo of the white flame in the gold circle has a few meanings. One is the face of Marianne, an important figure in French history, kind of like Uncle Sam.

Saw the whole video a couple of weeks ago. This guy’s journey is interesting, but it’s mostly a story about a guy who had everything but screwed it up multiple times… I was in the French military in the early 90’, with a 2 month duty tour at the Fort of Nogent, where the Legion recruitment station is based. Every night, we had a compliment of guys, ringing the bell… At that time, most of them were former East German stazie or Romanian Securitat. A tough bunch, who had nowhere else to go to get a clean passport….

Were you able to see some of Paris while you were there? The place is HUGE!

I liked what the guy said in the video about guys screaming in French with a Russian accent!

Official video of Paris 2024 opening ceremony 'is deleted from Olympics account' as viewers' backlash grows.

But others were less impressed, accusing organisers of creating a 'woke' parody of the Last Supper - a painting by Leonardo da Vinci depicting Jesus' last meal with his disciples

Many French citizens are posting that this travesty was a "humiliation" perpetrated by the group currently in power which does not represent them or their beliefs.
