Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony
I was able to watch it today. Way different than past venues of contestants walking around the track field. They were on boats cruising up the Seine river. The silver horse running in the river was amazing.
I know it?s off subject but it was really impressive and I look forward to watching some of our best athletes kick some butt!
I agree, caught a little bit, very cool doing the boat parade in the river. I hope the protest/political bullshit is minimal. I?m old enough that I can remember pre ?68 games without politics getting involved and especially the tragedy of ?72 in Munich.
It was excellent. Very inspiring and well done overall. Lots of artistic elements for different types and tastes... the sexual allusion was trashy for my taste (Menage a trois, same sex, and drag queen stuff), but that was short lived. It was definitely a spectacle for the ages.

LOL If there was in fact intent to mimic the Last Supper, well then that deserves objection and ridicule, but I did not see it that way live... that meme is well done though.

I did a WW-2 tour of Europe about 15 year’s ago. Paris was amazing. We visited some WW-1 sites as well, Verdun and many graveyards like the Douaumont Ossuary. There were no French cowards in that War.
Yeah, little kids hanging out with drag queens and queers is always hilarious.
