Thinking about a date weekend with the wife to see a concert at the Pikes Peak Center in early October. Any recommendations for a nice place for two nights? Broadmoor is booked. Don't want to drive too far after the show is over.

I've been a fan of The Antler's for many years, but I hear The Mining Exchange is very nice. Both are within walking distance of the Pikes Peak Center.

It's a measure of the civility in this country that no ones seems to fear constantly pissing off the people who own lots of guns.
If you’re staying that way and spending the money, would the Great Wolf Lodge be out of the question?

If you?re not taking kids with you don?t go to the Great Wolf Lodge-it can be fun with kids but it?s also good they have multiple bars to help alleviate all the screaming lol.
Downtown gets spicy. There was a shooting (police, good shooting too) outside the Mining Exchange lobby bar after closing about a month ago.

The Mining Exchange. I ate seafood there once. It made me sick. Never again.

If you're staying downtown, within waling distance there is:
Ice cream: Josh and Johns, https://www.joshandjohns.com/
Fantastic diner food and ambiance: King's Chef, https://kingschefdiner.com/
Go to the 110 East Costilla St location, even though the Bijou location is closer.

We stayed at the Antler a few years back, and I don't recall anything bad.
Last weekend we stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn off Cascade and Bijou. The room was nice and it was clean. The breakfast was a little better than most hotels, but there is plenty of places within walking distance to eat at. Phantom Canyon brewing and Dos Dos were good and are within a block from the hotel.

Or memorable and unique.

Haw haw haw?..
The Antlers.. A block off the downtown strip so bars and restaurants are right out the door. Pikes Peak is a block away in the opposite direction.
