SA Friday - went and watched the videos - good shooting!
I need to get involved in something like IDPA. Something I can shoot using the gear I already have.
Ok - this year I am going to do it.

What gear do you have? I would be suprised if we couldn't fit it in to a USPSA division somewhere. Enough mags and mag holders is usually the factor lacking. A 92FS fits in Production Division and Limited (minor) Division pretty easy. It fits best in Production division, and I've known a couple GM's that can straight up shred with one of those. 5 mags, 4 mag pouches, a decent holster, some ammo and get your butt out there.

We have one guy that shoots matches with a Sig P226, IWB holster, and draws from concealment at every match. He's a solid B class shooter, and shoots to practice with his carry gear. He kicked my ass for two years straight.
Mom's comin' 'round to put it back the way it ought to be.

That's totally me. I show up in a polo like I would wear at work.

That is what I would want to use this type of training for: to improve and reinforce my concealed carry abilities.
I have a Kimber .45 w/ 2 std. cap mags ( Been meaning to get more) - Galco IWB and mag holder.
Beretta 92FS, kydex paddle OWB with many hi cap mags.
    Then my normal carry rig:
Ruger SP101 .357 (KSP-321XL), IWB, two speedloaders and belt pouch. - 5 shot - so probably not as practical for this type competition?

There is a guy who does the matches at Boulder Rifle Club with a .357 revolver. He has this ridiculous rig that goes on his belt and holds like 9 fully loaded moon clips for his revolver. It looks like he is walking around a stadium giving out change from rolls of quarters or something. It has three rods about 8 inches long sticking straight up into the air that he just slides the loaded moon clips onto. Not exactly a concealment rig.

The 92FS would be the way to go out of that gear. 9mm ammo is cheaper, you already have the gear needed as long as you have the mag pouches. Try it out with what you have. No need to invest.

Plus it would be nice to see another Beretta out there. I get kinda lonely.
