Peter David died on May 24. He was an avowed Leftist but wrote some excellent science fiction stories and comic books.

More brutal (to me) was Jim Shooter dying yesterday. Jim Shooter started working for DC comics at the age of 14 but he wrote better than most people 3 times his age. He revitalized Marvel comics at a time when they desperately needed some discipline, giving us Chris Claremont's X-men, Walt Simonson's Thor, and Frank Miller's Daredevil. https://comicbookclublive.com/2025/0...r-dies-age-73/
