Default How everyone do with the storm

Been without power since roughly 9:30 last night, Xcel says power will be back around 10p, put my milk and insulin in the cooler, have about 2ft. This summer I?m buying g a snowblower-even if I use it once it will be worth it. Lost two limbs off a small tree, in my travels this morning I’ve seen lots of downed big limbs and scattered outages. Yeah I know, first world problems lol.

Weirdly, but not out of norm for CO, to the north, Dacono to Greeley, my daily commute and life barely anything. 6-8" over 2 days, mostly wet.

Friends in south and east of the Metro such as yourself got hammered with snow.

    Sucks you lost power

The heavy wet snow must have knocked things down as you said. Stay safe and warm everyone.

"The rifle itself has no moral stature, since it has no will of its own. Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles. --Jeff Cooper"

No power. Truck stuck in the yard & street. Neighbor helped by pulling my stuck 4X4 with my other 4X4. Now it will be a mudhole. Woodstove heat kept me warm. Rural living is such a blessing.

A little more than half a Beagle by Cherry Creek.

About a dozen limbs down in the area. No power loss.

Twelve inches of wet heavy out here. A little surprising since we are north side of storm.

DOT did a shit job on the front end of storm. They lost I70 east of metro six hours into the storm.

I got back from the western slope Wednesday evening in time to plow 15" of snow from the driveway. We got another 4" on Friday, and 4" this morning. After hunting elk on foot for 9 days in 14-18" of snow, I'm tired of winter already. This morning was the 3rd season opener and I'm hunting buck deer in area 20. All the back roads are difficult to impossible. It makes no sense to chain up just to go farther up the forest service roads in 2 feet of snow. It would be nice if it melted down before the end of week but I'm not optimistic.

That was a workout for my tractor and 3pt snowblower. Tractor needs about another 10hp to handle a load like that. Finally got it done. Tractor was getting hot enough I had to give it a rest a few times.
But it is moisture so hard to complain
Laws aren't "preventable" measures. IOW, more gun laws won't stop mass shootings.

Over a foot of wet mush here west of Boulder. Power was out for about for 18 hours. It's good to have 240V generator and a transfer switch. Our low-hour 1999 6250/5000W Generac handles most of the household needs with just a bit of load management at the breaker panel.
The vagrants of Boulder welcome you...
