Need a recommendation for a tablet under $50 for my wife.
To be used for Netflix, Facebook, recipes and such, nothing fancy...
Definitely NOT Kindle of any kind (fuck Amazon).
Any suggestions?

I thought you were talking about Fentanyl for her………
The most important thing to be learned from those who demand "Equality For All" is that all are not equal...

that price point you will be forced to go used/refurbished.
the only one that I have used that is not part of the dreaded Amazon - would be samsung a10 - new well past your
budget cap. - even on the used market.
I have seen samsung a9/11" new for $150
if it supports the current version of Google Play Store - you should be able to get it to work on the tasks you wanted.

So, here's the issue:
My wife's kindle Fire works just fine, but it's being "censored" by Amazon:
For the longest time she hasn't been able to access eBay (the tablet acts as if eBay doesn't exist, there's only Amazon), which pisses me off, but whatever...
Now she cannot watch Netflix: we open the app, log in, and immediately kick us out, back to the home screen (is it forcing us to get Prime instead?).
Anyone else has a Fire tablet and has noticed that?
Is there a way to get around this bullying behavior?
I don't do well with bullying...

I use a kindle for everything, no issues accessing any site or streaming service.
I do not have Prime. I purchase from eBay periodically, as recent as mid December

Nevermind.
I reinstalled it again and now it works.

Correction:
The Netflix website works, but the app keeps kicking me out.
I have tried reinstalling it, restarting the Kindle, everything...
