Default How did it go at the range this weekend?

Took my neighbor to the range and shot all day yesterday - we had a real a good time.
We didn't leave the range till sundown around 5.
I was finishing up a box of 9mm - putting it through my Beretta 92FS before packing up - thought I'd do a mag change drill - here is the result:

27 rounds at 30 feet in around 20 seconds.
Left flier is last round of 1st mag before mag change... my brain was already thinking of the change I guess.
I know I'm not breaking any records - just trying to be smooth and accurate with some thought to speed.
    Thoughts?
How did things go for you?
    What do you drill on?

    Good shootin' there!

As for me, I shot my best score yet at the PD match out at PWSA on Saturday. Today, I busted some milk jugs out at 100 and 200 with my AR out in my back field.

I let my little three year old twin girls observe the world through a rifle scope for the first time as well. Rifle was unloaded and action open, of course. They're too little to shoot yet, but its never too early to start laying the foundation.

I'll see if I can post pics of the twins sighting through the scope on the AR later.

I'm starting to get a modicum of control and good (well, better) groups with my new S&W 642 at 7 yards. And I'm loving the .45 I got just after Christmas. I only had Blazer ammo for it, but they let me shoot it as long as I policed up all the cases and dumped then in the trash. I got a case of 250 rounds on Friday, but it's going to be very hard not to burn through them all before my dad comes to visit in a couple of weeks

    I agree, nice shootin'.

I missed a chance to get out to Dragon Man's (Colo Spr area) yesterday with 3 of my co-workers. I probably should have gone but I've been feeling a bit under the weather lately and figured I needed to lay on the couch under a blanket instead.

Hopefully we'll have a couple more weeks of nice weekends before it gets nasty again and I'll get out and pass some lead through my barrel. I still haven't shot my GSG-5 carbine that I purchased last Spring or my Rock Island 1911 either. Of course, I've got a couple of things I need to do to the 1911 first, so....

I hope that those of you who did get a chance to make it out had a great time. It's fantastic hearing your stories.

It's a Para Companion C7 LDA that I bought from a member here. I'd never fired a .45 before it (mostly 9mm) but it's not going to be the last one I own.

Nice shooting! I was out as well trying out a new (to me) toy. Where did you shoot at?

I shot the HPPS match out at BLGC on Sat, and the Weld match on Sunday. I shot two of the best matches I've ever shot. It was a really good weekend for me. I didn't take any video of the HPPS match as the wife had the camera. Charlie did video me on four of the five stages out at Weld though. I posted them on the Weld thread.

I recorded Charlie's runs too. We'll see if he throws them in there. He had a really good match and was just shredding stages when he remembered to unlock his holster .
Mom's comin' 'round to put it back the way it ought to be.

I am a member of the Frontier Sportsmans Assn. I shoot out at their Fountain range. There were less than 7 or 8 shooters out there and none on our range - it is like being alone out there.

What new toy were you trying?

SA Friday - went and watched the videos - good shooting!
I need to get involved in something like IDPA. Something I can shoot using the gear I already have.
Ok - this year I am going to do it.
