Grand Master Know It All
Wow! Every Sun article is biased but that one really stinks. Booth has done zero research on the modular power plants, he writes about them like the are traditional reactors, whose waste is very different.
Not a surprise. The writer is a huge advocate of wind and solar to the exclusion of all else. His two articles about this are full of poor information, sourcing the Union of Concerned Scientists, a staunchly anti-nuke organization.
The fact the study was squashed so quickly isn't a surprise since many people panic about the subject and refuse to do their own research, relying on crockpots like Booth for their information.
My point from my original post still stands. Watch for more Democrats to jump on the SMR bandwagon as there is money and power to be gained by advocating these types of power plants.
They have painted themselves into a corner by pursuing the anti-carbon power platform. They need an escape and this is a good one for them.
Tech companies are getting desperate for reliable, carbon-free power. Microsoft is literally trying to restart Three Mile Island. Google and Amazon are throwing money at SMR startups. When Big Tech starts backing nuclear, you know the political winds are shifting fast, and those companies love Democrats.
