Wonderful precedent as well, categorically banning firearms from a group of people that the current admin doesn't like. Then expecting the king's court to write precedential opinions to rubber stamp the edict...

Then every future admin can categorically ban firearms from other groups of people that they don't like, too.

Well, I left a lot out of that post. I was focusing on the monetary angle for the news outlets that post the story.

But there certainly can be nefarious intent behind the wide coverage of this story. Not only donations to anti-gun and pro-trans groups but (foil hat alert) but posting flimsy stories like this it will keep the anti-Trump insanity stirred up as well- regardless of veracity.

Reading these stories will stoke the militant left's anger and make them more likely to commit acts of violence. They want to stir up the less educated masses in order to keep Trump hatred high, encourage political based violence and possibly get the President or others killed.

It will appear to the center left as yet more proof of Trump and his evil MAGA cronies attempt at suppressing yet another marginalized group on his/their way to a complete dictatorial takeover of the government.

Besides between the conspiracy theories that get thrown out due over things like this and the Socialists finding a way to yet-again blame every social ill on President Trump is FAR better theater than some troll post from CNN.
And of course, no matter what President Trump/ his administration does, our society is doomed to descend into the abyss of a Fascist totalitarian state.
And its all our fault, well those of us that voted for him.
