I guess WD doesn't mind bleeding profits.
Laws aren't "preventable" measures. IOW, more gun laws won't stop mass shootings.

    We'll see.

There was a letter signed by 400 Hollywood types condemning Kimmel's suspension. I'm sure some of them threaten to never work with Disney or any of its properties again. That could be a pretty potent lever for someone in the entertainment business.

I read Sinclair, which owns 60 ABC stations, is still refusing to air the show. So now the show will be losing even more money.

He will finish his contract and his contract will not be renewed, citing poor revenue generation.

    Default Disney? LOL

There is a saying on Wall Street, "buy the hype, sell the fact". I never heard of Charlie Kirk before the shooting. If you kill one of Trumps friends, you have made a fatal mistake. And thats a fact.

    And he's back!

ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" will return on Tuesday after a brief suspension, The Walt Disney Company has announced.

"Last Wednesday, we made the decision to suspend production on the show to avoid further inflaming a tense situation at an emotional moment for our country. It is a decision we made because we felt some of the comments were ill-timed and thus insensitive. We have spent the last days having thoughtful conversations with Jimmy, and after those conversations, we reached the decision to return the show on Tuesday," a Disney spokesperson told Fox News Digital.

Oh come on, it's not like they didn't give Roseanne Barr "thoughtful conversations" and then return her to TV after her comments.... er, oh wait, NOPE, Disney removed her permanently.

The difference is her comments came from someone on the right.

    *sigh*

    I liked Roseanne Barr.

Then her and her creepy husband decided to stage a fake kidnapping as a publicity stunt.

Shortly thereafter, during an interview, she went on an insane rant about how many world leaders were shapeshifting reptilian aliens... and she was not joking either.

Mental illness can be very sad.

Wait, they are NOT shapeshifting reptilian aliens?

The thing about rights, is we can only claim to champion them if they are protected when we strongly disagree with the people that are currently using them. That was one of many messages that Kirk shared.

Kirk was a good man, whom was civil and could respectfully debate opposing viewpoints, and take critisim in stride.

Our POTUS is a disgrace in comparison.

Imagine instead of Trump, this is Obama, or Biden trying to get a specific show removed from Fox news, threatning to use the FCC to take them off the air because they are the "arm of the RNC".

I believe Kirk would be quite shocked at the latest moves by DJT.

Does Kimmel suck? Absolutely. But, POTUS is proving all of these talk show hosts correct by this stupidity.

Google made it clear yesterday that the Biden Administration pushed them to censorship https://judiciary.house.gov/media/pr...utube-accounts, and the same is probable for Facebook and other social media platforms.

Obama was slick, I'd even say treacherous in how he two-faced what he said vs. what he did - Biden, he allowed his administration to run amok - they weaponized the DOJ and other agencies even further than the Obama Administration.

Initially, I'd have agreed with you - how far is too far - but in retrospect, the left has ALREADY GONE THERE, so there is no fair playing field.

I'm not so sure you are right about how Kirk would feel - spend some time watching his podcasts, maybe he would have had a different approach, but I'm not so sure he'd have been "quite shocked" by the latest moves.

Last thing - if the left had tried to kill me twice, you can bet I'd be a bit more fired up. They censored President Trump, they came after him legally, they tried to ruin his businesses, and they tried to kill him. If they'd done that to any of us, would we be able to "fly above it all"? I can tell you I would struggle to take the highroad FOR SURE.

The pesky thing about rights is it matters naught who wants to trample them. If the justification for trampling is because other people trample, then they are all cut from the same cloth. That is something Kirk understood.

Because people support POTUS, they rationalize this which is CLEARLY against longstanding mores supposedly held by us all.

POTUS is a Trojan horse that has steered the party into a direction that ends in the wreckage of a once admirable platform. Whether or not he has his personal vendettas does not justify the true losses to the values once held.

In any event, RIP Kirk. He would've made for an influential and successful politician.

Fair enough but you are maybe? ignoring? the point he's making.
To use your words, President Trump wasnt the one who initially steered the Nation and it's political parties into a direction that ends in the wreckage of a once admirable platform.
That began with the likes of Hilary, Obama and Biden.
They started this civil war we are in now, he is merely fighting back.
And he is using the same tools they use/d.

So if you lement the fact that Pres Trump is amoral/immoral/illegal -- choose your word/s for him- consider the fact that he's a product of their actions.
He wouldn't even be a notable figure at all if they hadn't screwed this country up so bad that he was/is/continues to be a viable and effective leader of our Nation.

Even more ironic to your comments is the fact that right now- former VP Harris is pimping her book.
How that (her Presidential run) unfolded was a horrendous violation of democratic function and principle.
And have you actually read some of what she is saying?
My God, it confirms how badly the Dems screwed this up.
But you are soley focused on Pres Trump and his misdeeds?

No, he's stuck cleaning up this big turd pile of a Country left by them.
And no, it's not pretty but he's working on it.
