Axios reported that six sources familiar with the murder probe told them Robinson was romantically involved with Twiggs.
Police are reportedly investigating whether Kirk's critical comments about transgender people caused Robinson to seek revenge, in an unrequested defense of his romantic partner's honor.
A Wisconsin news site reported an interview with an unnamed member of Twiggs's family who claimed that the 22-year-old "was in the process of transitioning" and that he was dating Robinson.

I also saw one article claiming that they were part of a militant 'trans' group, similar to the Zizians and the one behind the ICE ambush in Texas, but have seen no other sources on that.
