I'm surprised no one has started a thread on this yet but if the forecasts for the U.S. are accurate, I'm certain it will eventually get discussed, so...I figured I'd go ahead and start it.

Except for the High Country, Colorado isn't really supposed to get hit very hard - at least not as compared with a lot of the rest of the U.S. east of us.

How bad do you think it's going to get? When it's all said and done, how bad did you get hit?

Especially interested in Bailey Guns experience as he's in Oklahoma where it's forecasted to be bad.

I am on the north end of Colorado Springs today. It's certainly cold, but there isn't anything worth reporting otherwise.

Peterson and Cheyenne mountain are sending non-critical home early, that started at 11:30. I haven't received a notification of early closure from the grade-school yet.

Right now, the 2026 fire season is going to be rough if things dont change fast.

At about 6:30 Friday evening my phone was showing -1F but we only had 1-2 inches of snow (-3F now @ 0200). I received a pic and weather report from my best friend just North of Florissant at 6:30PM: 14F and a very light dusting of snow.

The weather really has me feeling like cr@p though.

Yeah, the high country is seriously dry and next year Colorado will be "Fire Country" if it doesn't change fast.

-3 in Maine this morning, -20 wind chill, 8"-14" snow Sunday night into Monday.
The famous "Lobster Lady" passed at 105 yesterday. Talk about a hardy New England figure !!! She was still harvesting lobsters at 103.
