Wife just got a call from the breeder. Our puppy passed away. We were supposed to pick him up in 10 days.
They're not sure what happened, but they are having an issue with parvo in another litter.
We were both looking forward to getting this little guy into our household, but it didn't happen.
Now we're looking for another breeder.

Very sorry to hear about this. Keep looking. Even great breeders have bouts with disease in a kennel, but looking for a healthy start is critical. Good luck!
Thanks. We're scouring the web and making some plans to visit some other breeders in the region.

Poor little guy. I'd be heartbroken.

That's really too bad. Parvo is really terrible on the young ones, many don't make it through it. It happens but doesn't leave me with a good feeling about the breeder. I field trial Spring Spaniels so I spend more time than most folks around the four legged critters. Will also keep my ears open though most of the breeders I know breed for field trial work and they do get expensive. Best of Luck.
