Oh, my. My world just stopped for a moment. Stuart, you have shattered the myth of invincibility I had built around you (since yesterday). The part about the bullet keyholing! AAARRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

It does keyhole (more like at 25 feet!) if you're shooting the issue frangible training ammo from an A1 or AR with the 1-12 twist. You actually get a perfect silhouette of the profile of the bullet at about 25 feet. Looks more like tossing a WWII potato masher grenade. I'd have never believed it if I hadn't seen it myself.

Couldn't tell you about the Mini-14, I'd have to defer to the know it all for that one.
