Newbie looking for safe places to shoot

Greetings all,

I've grown tired with Indoor Ranges and really want to find a safe out door place on public land. I'm a safe shooter, I pack in what I pack out, and I leave nothing but footprints. I've heard of a place near Lyons but have not been able to pinpoint it.

If you happen to have a place on your private property where you shoot I'd happily work out some sort of trade where I donate 50% of the ammunition I shoot back to the owner. i.e I shoot 200 rds of 9mm I'll leave 100 rds for you to use. I'd rather do this than pay for a smelly indoor lane someplace.

Wish list----do you like to shoot steel targets? ME TOO!!! It's been far too long. I can help set up a course of fire, clean, etc.

Next, I'm left wondering if this means that you live near Lyons. Knowing whare you live can potentially help folks provide you with solutions.

I'm in Boulder (don't hold that against me). Actually already found the place outside of Lyons I was looking for with help from these forums.

Still would like to find some safe-shooters with steel reactive targets or a range that offers this. Anyone here a member of Front Range IDPA?
