I have an idea for something similar if I can ever get my garage built. One side would just be a regular garage and the other side would have a basement/storm bunker with a reinforced concrete roof. The shop would go on top of that.

Oh well... Time and money, precious little of either.

I know a guy who has a vault in his basement and it just cost him to put it together. He had to take apart a vault at a bank they were demolishing and he just kept all the panels and door. He built the vault on some land he had then built his house right on top. So jelous! I also know a guy here in Colorado that has a room with a huge Fort Knox door for his gun room. Also he has a an underground shooting range in that room but shhh no one can know
