Your question has been answered, but I thought I would throw a couple other points out there.

1.
Especially if this is your first time carrying. YOU know you are, but like others have said "almost" no one else will. You may feel like you are carrying a flashing neon sign around. You are not, as long as you do not treat it that way.

2.
Sitting down. Doesn't sound too hard, right? Try it in a tight fitting chair with arms on it. If you do not allow a bit of extra space on your gun side, you "could" catch it on the arm of the chair on your way down, possible knocking it loose. The last thing you want to do, is have your gun hit the floor.

I join the rest who say to wear it around the house. Doing everyday activities there, may alert you to possible changes you might have to make, when you are out in the community. Get comfortable with it. Pretty soon it will become second nature, and you will not even remember you have it on.
