Exclamation Denver Post says "Gun sales soar"

According to an unnamed reporter in the D.P, Colorado gun sales soared in 2009. The CBI reported ~197,000 background checks in 2008, and ~203,000 in 2009.

    Holy mackerel, that's an increase of 6,000 applications. That's ~ a 3% increase. A massive, soaring increase.

Actually, I guess 3% for 2009 is a big number ... if you compare it to all our investments and 401k's

I bet there has been an ever bigger change from 2006 or 2007 to now.
in 2008 everything was gone off the shelves before obama was elected...the scare sent people into a massive panic (as well all know).

    plus its the DP...they suck.

Anything to sensationalize the subject. Besides, so many idiots out there just believe anything in print. Sheeple.

But hey, I've never lost money on a gun! Way better than my 401K!
