    Default monthly meet denver area

    i would like to start a monthly meeting of like minded people in the denver area to talk about preparing, survival and general info. i think we could create a great support channel. i live in lakewood. let me know what you think. thanks

    Not a bad idea but we just have to look at the weather. The last two times I went to the south site it was nice up till 1pm or so and then took a turn for the worst. The shoot is 3-13-10. I need to change this because I just screwed up posting the date.

    And what topic would the masses want for the first meeting?

    My thoughts are to start at the basics; water, shelter, signaling, first aid, hyper/hypothermia and firestarting.

    Once those are down the person can get through more than a typical stranding/emergency. A hunter jeeper or hiker getting lost happens a helluva lot more frequently than an earthquake.
