I work in a metal tube going 500+ miles per hour and live out of a bag.

    Does that count?

I've worked from home for the same company (in two different incarnations) for the past ten years now. I started off working in the evenings in addition to my regular job but when I got married and moved to this country I started doing it 'full time' (two hours a night and the odd hour or two in the day).

It's a British company so I get paid in Sterling which was great last year when the exchange rate was massively in my favour, especially taking into consideration the cost of living over here.

It also fits our lifestyle perfectly, as I can work as much or little as I want and take a few weeks off at a moment's notice. I don't think I could go back to a regular job after ten years of working in pajamas whilst watching the X-Files on dvd and playing Football Manager on the desktop

Some months, if the client is late paying up, my boss pays my invoices with her plastic

I just quit working for the man... 8 more working days and I'm off to work for another man... but it will be much better at the new gig...

Everyone that works from home usually wouldn't have it any other way... I'd go stir crazy myself, too many temptations of not working being at home...
