    Default Brown bear?

i found a website with brown bear polymer coat for 200 bucks a 1000rd. i have a couple hungarina sa-85's. they are the best you can get, so with them being very well made i can get alot better accuracy out of them than most ak's. have you shot this stuff before? accuracy? dirty? any info? thanks

All russian ammo tends be relatively dirty, by commercial US standards, and has an ammonia odor due to different basic powder composition.

You're not going to get the very best accuracy out of any rifle without careful handloads or premium factory loads, but brown bear should make great training, target, and stashing ammo.

I have a few cases of Brown Bear in 7.62x39mm for the reasons listed. My AK will never be a precision rifle so for me I don't really care.

Best group I got out of my Rem 700 .308 with brown bear was about 5/8" at 100 yds center to center.
Not much different from Federal American Eagle.
For my buck I get twice more practice.

decent enough stuff. it is a bit dirty, but in an AK who really cares.

sounds like a decent enough price, go for it.

I have used them a lot, a little slow to get things going but product makes it with no problems.
