The father called-in live to Boyle's show this morning, while it was limited discourse the segment was interesting to listen to considering the timing and relationship to the shooter.

I pick up my kids after school, and lets say this happens to me. ( I have a CCW) I'm in my car and this idiot starts shootin. Can I get out of my car and put a cap in his skull. Or am I going away for a long time, because I will kill the Mother Fker.

yeah there are a few schools out there that do it, but most of them do not. It usually tends to be the higher funded schools. Even then it would not stop someone from waiting outside in their vehicle getting out when school is over with kids everywhere.
It is very unfortunate. there really is no good way to stop things like this from happening, gun free zones are just safe houses from whack jobs and killers.

well I got on the radio this morning!

92.5 I think it was...scanning through the stations and they were talking about it. I mentioned CCW for teachers, and how schools are just safe houses for nut jobs. With budget cuts for police and schools, less safety about and more and more whack jobs going nuts after they lose everything, some well trained CCW teachers would at a minimum help deter criminals from coming to schools, plus give peace of mind that they have the opportunity to defend the students if necessary.
