Default Colorado Tries to Tax Online Sales

    http://www.techflash.com/seattle/201...ax_debate.html

As a result Amazon.com is cutting ties with all affiliates based in Colorado.

I suggest writing to our representatives to repeal this idiotic law.

Why would I purchase stuff online, pay shipping + handling, AND tax, and have to wait for my stuff,

when I could just go down to a best buy?

Greed is going to destroy this nation, I swear it.

Oh but this kind of greed is OK, because it is the government, and not some corporation or individual. /sarc off

Federal and state government is rapidly getting out of hand. We need to rein them back a good bit.

I think 'breaking on the wheel' would be more appropriate.

Yep...this one really pissed me off when I read about it last week. Thanks, Tax Ritter and the Colorado legislature...f**king jerks. Just what the average person needs...more tax burdens.

If these morons hadn't gotten the state into the mess it's in with out of control spending this wouldn't have happened.

At least it's being called what it is...a tax, rather than a "fee".

Reminds me of a line out of The Patriot......."An elected legislature can trample a man's rights just as easily as a Monarchy".

Those idiots need to stop interpreting what we all want done, or stop ignoring the constituency entirely to focus on what they want.

Just FYI...of the 9 tax bills in the CO senate, 100% of Republicans voted against them. This is, once again, on the demoncrats.

100% of the Republicans in the house and senate voted against this bill.

If you vote democrat, thanks a lot. I hope people remember this bullshit when November rolls around.

This is a great point for the people who would argue that both parties are responsible for this tax and spend crap. You cannot blame the Republicans here (sure they might be responsible for other irresponsible spending).

Unenforceable. Here's an idea: Cut spending, instead of trying to generate more revenue to continue funding entitlement programs. Ritter has cut higher ed funding, while signing a bill that allows illegal aliens to take advantage of in state tuition rates. Seriously, WTF?
