The state wide database is CCIC (CO Crime Information Center). I've had access to dozens of LE computer systems over the years, and this one in peticular for about 4 years. You know how the cop goes back to his car after stopping your for speeding? They run your info in CCIC and NCIC for wants and warrants. When they do this, you show as a person of interest. This can happen for a lot of reasons. Sometimes the cop checks why, sometimes they don't. I don't know the criteria for identifying someone as a person of interest, but I surmise anyone ever printed with a blue fingerprint card (cataloged, non-criminal) like Dr's, Nurses, teachers, cops, etc... are tagged as a POI. I could be wrong though.
