Stuart - " I already have Malwarebytes but I can't get it to run. I've already googled the bug and have some instructions of how to get rid of it (basically run malwarebytes) but malware won't even run. Can I down load Malware onto a flash card and then run it from the flash card instead? "
Re-name the MalwareBytes executeable (mbam-setup.exe) to something different, this has to be done when the file is being downloaded. When you attempt to re-download mbam-setup.exe, rename it anything else when you are prompted to save the file to you machine. The Trojan is locking to block mbam-setup.exe, so if the same program is name for example "test.exe" it should run without issue.
Remember the first one is free...
PS: without seeing the machine i am guessing that this is Windows Antivirus 2009 (trojan) or related

Yeah, it is the XP Antivirus one. Same thing as the Vista and Windows one. I looked it up this morning. Thanks again for the additional help.
Let me know if you need more help, this is what I do for work. I had to fix a few of these last fall and had good results.

Thanks, I've had pretty good success with going to like noobie.com and stuff. This is the first time I've had a serious bug in many years. I might have some questions about how to rename the file, but we'll see how it goes tonight.
I like the occasional cigar, but I smoke mostly "beginner" cigars. I'm a big fan of sugar tipped Acid cigars, and really like the more natural stuff from parent company Drew Estate (they make Acids). Actually, I prefer the Juicy Lucy and Root from Drew Estate, and have had relatively good results from Cuban Rejects. I like to go in and just ask what they sell the most of, and it is also pretty close to the cheapest.
However, I have tobacco pipes, and not only are they 100 times more smooth and less harsh than cigars, but the smoke smells 100 times better as well. I can smoke a pipe in my non-smoking living room, and the next day, the room just smells like cherries or whatever flavor. If I do that with a cigar, the whole place smells like nasty smoke for three days. I'm currently out of all of my nicer, house blend tobacco. I just have some Captain Black Light right now. I have a full bag of Borkum Riff, but every time I try it, I always get a bag of dry crap that ends up smelling just like cigarettes.
In general, Windows may be able to help you with unwanted changes on your system. Try:
START-> Programs-> Accessories-> System Tools-> System Restore
Make sure "Restore my computer to an earlier time" is the selected task
Click "Next" down below
Click on a date on the calendar when things were running good (has to be bold faced)
Click "Next" down below and follow through with the restart.
This should help with your latest snag. Just be sure you have system restore points (that's boldfaced dates on the calendar for you losers like Stuart) established as free insurance against time-comsuming hunting trips for malware
Don't use System Restore. It will not be able to remove the Trojan and will only complicate the process. In fact the system restore should be shut off and the restore point deleted, or the Trojan may return......

Maybe it's ok for lesser threats/issues? I've had good luck with it, but I'll defer to you if you have the knowledge.
