ID Grandpa's metals

So my Grandpa gave me a box of things and going through it I found 2 metals, I asked him and he said he got them in WWII but does not remember for what. sucks getting old. can any of you tell me a little about them?? there are 2 of the same metals.

just so you know it is an air medal. thought I needed to clarify this.

And for those of you that dont know... the Air Medal is a Bronze Star for flyboys. Only awarded for combat missions.
